Where the rabbit hole took alice

I love walking. I believe that God gave me weak knees and ankles for me to not be able to run so that i could discover how much i LOVE walking. It clears my head completely its where i have discover dreams and beautiful ideas its where i find and understand my self the best.

Most of the time when i am walking i am in Colorado at Redcloud. I walk thought a forest along a brook and i only hear my thoughts, the water breathing, and the leaves whispering to me. I love it up there and so as i was missing that a few days ago i decided that i would go on a journey. I was going to go walking in my neighborhood. So i grabbed a sweatshirt and my ipod and was on my way. I replaced the awful sound of cars driving with Nicole Nordaman albums(Thank you for offering all her songs to listen to at once itunes).

As i started walking away from the intersection by my house i walked past a bridge/ water way area i noticed that there were no cars, no houses, and no road it was just a open field where house property's backed up against and the water from flooding ran.

I had two chooses
- The road that i had driven on for the past 8 years of my life which offered safety, history, and predictability, or
-The brook area that i have never put a foot into, a place of questions and unfamiliarity

My mind went through countless logic. And as my heart pounded for the journey and excitement my logical side of me said "no". I took a step. And i went on The Road Less Traveled. I walked along the stream that was only existing because of the rain we had received a few days before but it was wonderful. I slowly made my way away from the real world and logic toward my wonderland.

As i walked i felt me. I felts like the essence of who i am was crystal clear. Anything that was not me leaked out of my hands as i walked in waste high plants. I was in a wondrous place just on the outskirts of reality. I could see the houses and the streets where busy cars passed by. But yet i was in a magical place that was so beautiful. With the sun setting and its breath taking light shining thought the oak tree's which were in the middle of the field with a water area just feet away.

I truly felt like Alice. Although my adventurer did not include a sycophantic smiling cat, and a queen who's bipolar, I held a scene of not having any idea about where my feet would take me. And how curious that this is what came to me as i walked.

My walk took me places i would have never thought i would go yet just by making a spontaneous decision to do something that i would not have before i got to see life in a fantastic yet simple way.
